The abortion issue is a thorny one, for the same reason as in the general political spectrum. It depends on a prior belief outside those of political philosophy. It is near Universal belief weather your a conservative or libertarian, that humans have certain rights. Abortion is not fully or totally proven wrong or right. By not knowing every situation where the process of abortion is being used.
The people who believe that in a situation the "fetus" prior to the birth has innate "human-ness" and thus human rights, to allow for the innocent child to be killed is murder! when there might be a situation where the health of the mother may be threatened or has gotten pregnant by rape or incest, than one might side with the mother to proceed with the abortion but would be considered a justified moral tragedy,not a disappointment and a lightly-considered choice.
Some people are inconsistent.even if they believe that an embryo is a person, they want to still have an abortion because of a morning after -oopsies situation!
Human nature trumps logic every time that's why abortion will never be illegal again even though most people believe that even an embryo is still a person!!
